Part-Time/ Full Time Early Childhood Support Teacher
About The Position
Maayan Torah Day School is seeking a caring, flexible, and dependable Part-Time Support Teacher to join our early childhood team. This role involves supporting the teaching team by providing classroom coverage for teacher breaks, prep time, one-on-one meetings, staff meetings, and other scheduled needs. Additionally, there may be opportunities for office or curriculum support for teachers. The position requires comfort working with all age groups, from infants through preschoolers, as the support will span the entire early childhood program. The school's regular schedule runs Monday-Thursday from 8:20 AM to 3:30 PM and Friday from 8:20 AM to 2:30 PM, with options for morning care (7:30 AM - 8:20 AM) and aftercare (Monday-Thursday 3:30 PM - 5:30 PM, Friday 2:30 PM - 4:30 PM). This is primarily a part-time position with potential for additional hours through substitute teaching, morning/aftercare programs, and extra scheduled coverage. For the right candidate, there is potential for growth into a larger role.
Requirements
- Enrollment in the Oregon Criminal History Registry
- Food Handler's Card
- Infant/Toddler CPR & First Aid Certification
- Recognizing and Reporting Child Abuse and Neglect certification
- Introduction to Health and Safety certification
- Safe Sleep for Infants and Toddlers certification
- Prevention Is Better Than Treatment certification
- Foundations for Learning certification
