Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Early Childhood Specialist to join our team full-time, where you will have a significant impact on the lives of children, educators, and families. In this role, you will empower staff through intentional teaching, coaching, and curriculum development, enhancing their interaction skills and teaching techniques. Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a field related to the assigned program or department and two (2) years of related work experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Must undergo criminal, fingerprinting, Child Protective Service (CPS), and DMV background checks.
• TB screening questions must be passed prior to hire and every two years thereafter.
• A sworn disclosure statement or affirmation must be completed, detailing any criminal convictions or pending criminal charges, at the time of employment and every five years following that initial submission.
• First Aid (Infant through Adult)/CPR certifications prior to hire or within 30 days of hire.

Nice To Haves

• Current CLASS certification for preschool, and/or infant/toddler.
• Experience developing and facilitating professional development trainings.
• Certification in CLASS is expected within 12 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate the implementation of creative preschool programs that respond to the diverse learning approaches and developmental levels of children.
• Collaborate with educators to guide and support them in establishing and implementing program goals and academic curricula, ensuring alignment with best practices in early childhood education.
• Organize demonstration lessons, assess teaching methods, and offer mentorship and coaching to educators, showcasing effective strategies and techniques for early childhood instruction.
• Conduct classroom observations and assessments offering constructive feedback and strategies to enhance classroom interactions and teaching techniques and ensure optimal outcomes for children.
• Support centers in developing and applying family engagement practices that empower families, in alignment with the Parent, Family, and Community Engagement (PFCE) Frameworks.
• Undertake other specific duties as assigned to meet departmental goals and enhance our early childhood initiatives.
