Early Childhood School Social Worker

Ready to make a lasting impact this school year? Cross Country Education is seeking a dedicated School Social Worker for a short-term FMLA coverage assignment serving a preschool population in Chicago Ridge, IL this Fall 2026-2027 semester. Position Overview: Provide direct social-emotional support and developmental interventions for preschool-aged students within a school setting. Manage a specialized caseload while maintaining compliance with IEP goals, documentation, and state regulations. Partner with families, teachers, and multidisciplinary teams to implement behavioral support plans and promote student success. Deliver crisis support and connect students and families with appropriate resources as needs arise.
Requirements
- Master’s Degree in Social Work (MSW)
- Active Illinois Social Worker License
- Valid Professional Educator License (PEL) with a School Social Worker endorsement
- Prior experience working with preschool populations and knowledge of early childhood developmental milestones
