About The Position

This role involves supporting early childhood programs by assisting teachers with daily activities, ensuring a safe and clean learning environment, and providing direct care and instruction to young children. The assistant will help with personal hygiene, meal times, playground supervision, and classroom preparation, while adhering to ethical conduct standards.

Requirements

  • Adherence to the NAEYC Code of Ethical Conduct and Statement of Commitment.

Responsibilities

  • Escorts, assists, and instructs children regarding personal hygiene practices.
  • Assists and supervises playground activities.
  • Assists in planning and supervising meals, snacks, and refreshments for children.
  • Cleans and organizes classroom areas, toys, and equipment.
  • Performs necessary sanitizing and hygiene care for young children.
  • Assists teachers in preparing for classroom activities.
  • Makes copies and prepares project materials.
  • Participates in department and staff meetings.
  • Helps to maintain student portfolios and files.
  • Adheres to the NAEYC Code of Ethical Conduct and Statement of Commitment.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
