About The Position

The Technology Hill Early Learning Center is seeking Early Childhood Program Assistants to join their new center in Londonderry. This role involves partnering with Early Childhood Teaching Staff to support the academic, social-emotional growth, and development of young children. Program Assistants will provide support to classrooms and center operations, adhering to Program, NH Child Care Licensing Unit (NH CCLU), and NAEYC standards and regulations. The anticipated start date is December 2026. Students are encouraged to apply, and part-time flexible hours are available.

Requirements

  • A minimum of 9 credits in early childhood education or related coursework, awarded by an accredited college or university, with at least 3 credits in child or human growth and development, plus 6 months of experience in an early childhood education program OR 3 credits in child or human growth and development from an accredited college or university, with 1 year of experience in an early childhood education program
  • The ability to meet NH Child Care Licensing Unit’s requirements for ‘Associate Teacher’ per NH CCLU He-C4002, required
  • Obtaining and maintaining New Hampshire Early Childhood Professional Development credential (per NH Licensing Requirements) is required after the first 6 months of employment
  • Written and verbal communication skills
  • Organization and time management skills
  • Certified in Adult and Pediatric First Aid/CPR/AED required
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation

Responsibilities

  • Actively partner with Early Childhood Teaching Teams to actively support the classroom environment while assisting with the implementation of an age-appropriate curriculum (lesson plan) to nurture and stimulate all domains of children’s development in their early education.
  • Be responsive to all children by adapting daily care routines and strategies, balancing the individual and group interests and/or needs of the children.
  • Provide a developmentally appropriate and inclusive classroom environment that reflects the children’s ongoing learning and growth.
  • Assist with on-going observations and developmental evaluations while following curriculum implementation that addresses the individual needs of each child.
  • Partner with Early Childhood Teaching Teams on overall classroom management to include: contributing to the physical environment, ensuring a safe and trauma-informed care environment, promoting and modeling appropriate communication, hygiene, behavior, and nutrition, assisting with daily and weekly maintenance and cleaning, supporting children during challenging behaviors using positive guidance, and taking responsibility for appropriate child supervision.
  • Assist in maintaining respectful and supportive individual relationships with parents and prospective parents through effective communication.
  • Demonstrate cultural competency and respect for the child's background by incorporating the cultural, linguistic and familial values and beliefs into the program and lesson plans.
  • Complete daily health checks regarding hygiene, safety, and overall well-being of the children.
  • Support children of varying development using varying appropriate and respectful interventions.
  • Adhere to all NH CCLU, NAEYC, Program, and Agency policies and procedures.
  • Participate in ongoing staff development, in-services, trainings, and additional meetings as required.
