Early Childhood Pre-K Teacher
About The Position
The Red Barn is looking for a warm, dependable, and engaging Pre-K Teacher who is ready to truly invest in a classroom, a team, and a group of children for the entire school year. We are looking for someone who understands the importance of the preschool years and wants to help children grow socially, emotionally, and academically in a loving, structured environment. Our ideal candidate is someone who loves building meaningful relationships with children and families, values consistency, teamwork, and professionalism, enjoys creating fun, hands-on learning experiences, understands classroom management with kindness and confidence, wants to be part of a close-knit center that feels like family, and is looking for a long-term position — not just a temporary job. Requirements
- Experience working with preschool-aged children
- Strong classroom leadership and communication skills
- Dependability and professionalism
- Ability to work Monday–Friday consistently
Nice To Haves
- CDA, ECE coursework, or related experience preferred
Responsibilities
- Leading a Pre-K classroom using developmentally appropriate practices
- Creating engaging lesson plans and classroom activities
- Maintaining a safe, organized, and nurturing environment
- Communicating professionally with families and team members
- Supporting children’s emotional development and kindergarten readiness
- Following DHS licensing standards and center policies
