Early Childhood Music Class Instructor - Musicologie Junior Teacher
About The Position
Musicologie Junior is a joyful, play-based early childhood music program designed to nurture creativity, connection, and a lifelong love of music. We’re looking for an energetic, musical, and heart-centered teacher to launch and lead our new location in Glastonbury, opening in 2026! This role involves leading interactive music classes for children ages 0-5 and their grown-ups, teaching notated songs using provided sheet music, and creating a warm, inclusive, and playful environment. The position supports the vision of music for every child by building community through classes and events.
Requirements
- A strong musician with vocal ability.
- Guitar, uke, or piano accompaniment ability preferred.
- Experienced with early childhood or group teaching (or excited to learn!).
- A natural communicator who shines with both kids and parents.
- Reliable, warm, organized, and enthusiastic.
- Legal authorization to work in the U.S.
Nice To Haves
- A degree in music or early childhood education.
- Experience performing, leading groups, or working in creative environments.
Responsibilities
- Lead 40 minute interactive music classes for children ages 0-5 and their grown-ups.
- Learn and confidently teach notated songs each week using provided sheet music.
- Sing, move, dance, and play simple instruments.
- Create a warm, inclusive, and playful environment for every family.
- Support our vision of music for every child by building community through classes and events.
