Early Childhood Learning Teacher Assistant
About The Position
Healthy Kids Programs is hiring an Early Childhood Learning Teacher Assistant for our program at Taconic Hills Elementary School for the 2026–2027 school year. This role is ideal for individuals who love working with children, bringing energy, kindness, and patience to foster children's curiosity, creativity, and confidence. The position requires effective teamwork and communication with families, along with reliability and a commitment to exceptional care. Requirements
- 18 years or older and hold a High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Medically cleared of any communicable diseases including TB.
- Must be warm, friendly, and upbeat. Exceptional people skills, professional, reliable, and prompt.
- Physically able to bend, stretch, lift, carry (up to 50 lbs.), and do whatever it takes to keep up with the children.
Nice To Haves
- Preferably 1 year of experience working with kids under 13.
Responsibilities
- Facilitate hands-on activities following the Healthy Kids Curriculum which includes fitness, STEAM, academic, art, and other group activities as well as homework completion.
- Provide a safe, healthy, and fun environment and acting as a positive role model for children in the program.
- Observe state guidelines, Healthy Kids Extended Day Program policies, and host school policies.
- Support program operations, which may include attendance records, registration, and staffing responsibilities.
