Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a licensed early childhood program
  • Completion of 32 hours of Early Childhood Program (ECP) training or Level 2 on the ECP Registry
  • Must be at least 18 years old
  • Ability to maintain professionalism and build positive relationships with children, families, and staff
  • American Heart Association Heartsaver CPR & Pediatric First Aid (within 30 days of hire and kept current after)
  • Must maintain current standing with the Montana Early Childhood Project Practitioner Registry (within 15 days of hire)
  • Infant Safety Essentials training (within 30 days of hire)
  • Health & Safety Professional Development training (within 90 days of hire)
  • Completion of mandatory 16-hour annual training requirements
  • Maintain current company and state-required immunizations

Responsibilities

  • Plan and lead engaging, age-appropriate classroom activities
  • Create a safe, healthy, and stimulating learning environment
  • Supervise children closely and respond to their individual needs
  • Encourage creativity, exploration, social development, and hands-on learning
  • Prepare classroom materials and learning spaces each day
  • Partner with families to support each child’s development and success
  • Collaborate with Assistant Teachers and fellow staff members
  • Support and mentor classroom staff through guidance and training
  • Participate in ongoing training and professional development opportunities
