About The Position

Teaching at Primrose School of Woodbury is an opportunity to foster curiosity, creativity, and compassion in children, helping them develop a lifelong love of learning. As a Support Teacher, you will help create a fun, safe environment for children to explore and learn through purposeful play, nurturing their social, emotional, cognitive, creative, and physical development. The role involves building genuine relationships with each child, helping them explore the world, improve motor skills, and grow their vocabulary. You will work with a co-teacher to implement lesson plans from the research-informed Balanced Learning® curriculum and maintain a well-kept classroom that encourages children to create, explore, and make decisions with confidence. The school provides all necessary tools and training, with classrooms fully stocked and a supportive Leadership Team dedicated to creating a safe, healthy environment where all children and team members can thrive. The Balanced Learning® approach offers clear daily plans, allowing teachers to focus on connections with children.

Responsibilities

• Help to create a fun, safe environment for little ones as they explore and learn through purposeful play
• Nurture children's social, emotional, cognitive, creative and physical development
• Build genuine relationships with each child
• Help children explore the world, improve their motor skills and grow their vocabulary
• Work with your co-teacher to implement the lesson plans from the research-informed Balanced Learning® curriculum
• Maintain a well-kept classroom that encourages children to create, explore and make decisions with confidence
• Discover what works best for each child as you teach them about the world around them
