About The Position

Early Childhood Educators work in a dynamic team environment with children between the ages of 0-5 to provide a caring and stimulating environment that promotes intellectual, physical, and emotional growth. At BACI, Early Childhood Educators ensure inclusion for all children at the centre as they plan and implement developmentally appropriate activities.

Requirements

• BC Early Childhood Education required
• First Aid, CPR, and TB test clearance required
• Immunizations including COVID-19 vaccination need to be up-to-date
• Clear BC Criminal Record Check
• Minimum of 2 Previous Work References
• Practical experience working with children 0-5 years
• Good communication skills
• Ability to understand and follow procedure

Nice To Haves

• Infant Toddler Certificate preferred
• Special Needs Certificate preferred
• Working knowledge of computers is preferred

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement and lead early play-based learning programs and activities such as storytelling, reading, singing with infants and toddlers.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of early years curriculum through observations and interactions with children.
• Maintain positive relationships and communication with families.
• Work with children requiring additional support in inclusive settings.
• Work with children 0-5 years.
• Understand and commit to the principles of inclusion.
• Communicate effectively with families, professionals, and staff.
• Understand and follow procedures.
