About The Position

As an Early Childhood Educator with YMCA Child Care, you will create nurturing, play-based learning experiences that support children’s growth, curiosity, and development while building meaningful partnerships with families and a collaborative team. Every day, you’ll help shape positive early childhood experiences that set the foundation for lifelong learning and well-being. This role is ideal for an adaptable, passionate Early Childhood Educator who thrives in dynamic environments, enjoys building meaningful relationships with children and families, and is committed to delivering high-quality, play-based learning experiences across multiple childcare settings.

Requirements

  • Valid British Columbia Early Childhood Educator (ECE) License to Practice.
  • Valid First Aid Certificate with CPR Level B or C.
  • Minimum age of 19 years, in accordance with provincial licensing requirements.
  • Three professional references
  • A satisfactory Criminal Record Check Check/Vulnerable Sector Search.

  • $21.48 per hour, plus as part of Government's Early Care and Learning Recruitment and Retention Strategy, Early Childhood Educators (ECEs) working in licensed childcare facilities are eligible to receive a $6 per hour wage enhancement
