Early Childhood Educator II
About The Position
NorWest Co-op Community Health is seeking an Early Childhood Educator II for a full-time, 4-month term position at the NorWest Early Learning and Child Care Centre. This frontline staff position requires availability Monday to Friday between 7:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. The role involves ensuring the physical care and safety of children, providing emotional support, and fostering their growth and development. The successful candidate will follow the Centre's behavior management policy, maintain confidentiality, adhere to licensing regulations, and support Centre policies and procedures. This position also involves mentoring staff and communicating effectively with families and outside agencies.
Requirements
- Classification as Early Childhood Educator II
- Strong interpersonal, team building, and leadership skills
- Current first-aid and CPR certification
- Good understanding of Early Learning and Child Care Program’s Regulations
- Must be energetic, friendly and enthusiastic
- Must be willing to take initiative
- Willingness to work with children who require additional support
- Subject to successful criminal record check and investigation authorization/child abuse registry check.
