Requirements

Must meet Colorado Office of Early Childhood licensing requirements
PDIS Level 2 or higher required
High school diploma or equivalent required
Must pass Colorado state background check
Completion of required state training and ongoing professional development
Minimum six months of professional teaching experience required
Knowledge of developmentally appropriate practices

Nice To Haves

One year of experience in early childhood education preferred
Associate degree in ECE or related field preferred
CPR and First Aid certification preferred
Strong classroom management and communication skills
Reliable, positive, and team oriented attitude
Passion for early childhood education and child development

Responsibilities

Create a safe, nurturing, and engaging classroom environment
Support social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development
Implement age appropriate curriculum and learning activities
Lead and support classroom routines and overall classroom management
Communicate regularly with families regarding children’s development and daily activities
Build strong relationships with families and team members
Ensure the health, safety, and supervision of all children
Partner with leadership to support enrollment and classroom success
Maintain classroom organization and state licensing standards
