About The Position

The Learning Experience is building its leadership candidate pool for current and future opportunities throughout the Grand Rapids area. They are interested in connecting with experienced early childhood professionals who have the skills, experience, and ambition to grow into Assistant Center Director or Center Director leadership roles. This includes experienced Center Directors, Assistant Directors ready for their next opportunity, or early childhood leaders looking for a growing organization for career advancement.

Requirements

• Previous professional experience in a licensed childcare, preschool, or early childhood education setting required
• Previous leadership, supervisory, or management experience strongly preferred
• Center Director or Assistant Director experience is a plus
• Strong communication, organization, and team leadership skills
• Knowledge of childcare licensing and early childhood best practices
• Must meet applicable Michigan licensing requirements for the leadership position being considered

Nice To Haves

• CDA, Early Childhood Education coursework, associate degree, bachelor's degree, or related credentials preferred

Responsibilities

• Supporting or overseeing daily childcare center operations
• Leading, coaching, developing, and supporting teaching teams
• Recruiting, onboarding, and retaining high-quality educators
• Maintaining appropriate staffing, classroom ratios, and scheduling
• Supporting implementation of The Learning Experience's L.E.A.P. Curriculum
• Maintaining Michigan licensing, health, safety, and compliance standards
• Building strong relationships with children and families
• Supporting family tours, enrollment, retention, and center growth
• Managing required documentation and operational processes
• Partnering with center and regional leadership
• Creating a positive, professional, and accountable center culture
