About The Position

Bright Horizons is seeking an Early Childhood Education Instructional Coach in Mill Valley, California. This role focuses on empowering teachers by providing them with necessary resources, support, and professional development. The Instructional Coach will utilize their expertise in child development and early education to inspire and motivate the teaching team to achieve excellence in the classroom daily. This position is crucial to Bright Horizons' mission of nurturing young minds and creating a lasting impact. The coach will also be instrumental in fostering a safe, nurturing environment that supports children’s social, emotional, physical, and intellectual growth, and will collaborate with a dynamic team to develop engaging curriculum that shapes future learners and leaders.

Requirements

• Candidates must pass required state and company background checks, and meet state and company minimum education and experience requirements
• CDA with an educational plan to complete associate degree is required
• 12 ECE units completed required: Child Development, Child Family Community and 2 curriculum courses.
• If applying for an Infant or Toddler position the Infant/Toddler class is required as one of the curriculum courses.
• Transcripts will be required at time of hire.
• At least three years of professional experience teaching in high-quality child care, daycare, or preschool settings is required

Nice To Haves

• Associate or higher degree in early childhood education or child development related field is preferred
• Experience working in a NAEYC-accredited center is preferred

Responsibilities

• Lead a team in implementing high-quality, developmentally appropriate curriculum aligned with our philosophy and anti-bias education
• Be a curriculum expert and use educational quality tools to assess and enhance program implementation
• Partner and communicate effectively with families, while mentoring new teachers and serving as a role model for the teaching team
