About The Position

Skip-a-Long Childhood Centers, part of SAL Community Services, is a provider of early childhood care and education in the Quad Cities. The Assistant Teacher supports the Teacher in developing a quality learning environment that is developmentally appropriate and actively engages children in learning. The role helps enhance children’s physical, emotional, cognitive, and social growth through experience. The Assistant Teacher collaborates with the Teacher to implement curriculum and maintains appropriate, regular communication with families.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years old.
Have a high school diploma or equivalency certificate (GED).
Meet the requirements established by the regulatory agency for the state in which employed.
Obtain required background clearances.
Share a love for children and a passion for helping them learn, grow, and thrive.

Responsibilities

Develop strong relationships with families and guardians to support each child’s development.

Collaborate with the Teacher to implement curriculum and communicate regularly with families.
