About The Position

The Early Childhood Development & Outreach Coordinator is responsible for planning, implementing, and overseeing developmental screening and early childhood developmental monitoring services for tribally enrolled children residing within the Standing Rock Sioux Reservation service area. The Coordinator promotes early identification of developmental concerns, supports families in understanding child development, and facilitates connections to appropriate services and resources. This position ensures compliance with program requirements, maintains accurate data systems, and provides supervision, training, and technical assistance to program staff.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and administer developmental and social-emotional screenings using approved assessment tools, ensuring timely screening, scoring, documentation, follow-up, and referrals.
  • Maintain accurate program data and records, monitor compliance with tribal, state, federal, and funding requirements, and prepare required reports to support program evaluation and quality improvement.
  • Educate and engage families and the community by providing developmental education, facilitating outreach activities, promoting early intervention services, and connecting families with community resources.
  • Supervise and support program staff by providing training, technical assistance, performance oversight, and coordination to ensure adherence to screening protocols and program standards.
  • Coordinate referral and follow-up services by collaborating with healthcare providers, schools, early intervention programs, and community agencies to ensure children and families receive appropriate services.
  • Ensure program quality and continuous improvement by maintaining confidentiality, implementing best practices in developmental screening, participating in strategic planning, and fostering collaborative partnerships to enhance service delivery.
  • Will be required to perform other duties as assigned.
