About The Position

This position is 100% onsite in Erie, Pennsylvania. The Early Childhood Data Analyst will collect, manage, and analyze data to ensure a data-driven approach to the program’s initiatives. This role involves collecting, validating, and maintaining data from various program systems, analyzing this data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement, and providing training and support to staff on data best practices. The analyst will also ensure data accuracy and compliance with regulations, translate complex findings into actionable recommendations for leadership, and coordinate key assessments and reports. Additionally, the role involves maintaining program compliance with Federal and State Standards, auditing databases, contributing to grant proposals and research efforts, and representing the program in community and professional settings.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business field, Data Analytics, Public Administration, Social Sciences or related field
  • 2–5 years of experience in data analysis, preferably in early childhood education, nonprofit, or public sector programs
  • Proficiency in data analysis tools
  • Adept at using Microsoft Office products and custom software
  • Ability to multi-task and work on multiple projects concurrently
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills including training and facilitation techniques
  • Ability to work under pressure, adapt to change and solve problems
  • Empathy and understanding of those in need or at risk
  • Requires travel to other centers within the organization
  • Proper attendance is required. Employees are expected to arrive on time, every day, able and available to work.

Responsibilities

  • Collect, validate and maintain data from multiple program systems (child outcomes, enrollment, attendance, family services, etc.)
  • Analyze data to identify trends, gaps and opportunities for program improvement
  • Provide training, guidance and support for the staff with data best practices, internal collection and analysis procedures and current trends
  • Ensures data accuracy and compliance with regulations and reporting requirements
  • Translate complex data findings into clear, actionable recommendations for leadership
  • Coordinates completion of Community Assessment, Self-Assessment and Program Information Report
  • Maintains and monitors Head Start program compliance with Federal and State Standards
  • Audits databases regularly to ensure data integrity and completeness
  • Contributes to grant proposals, reports, and other efforts related to research and evaluation through writing content, preparing analysis of program performances and providing context in terms of relevant organizational statistics
  • Contributes to organizational values by fostering data-driven solutions
  • Represents the program on various community and professional organizations as necessary, and at program events
