About The Position

As part of the newly established Early Childhood Council for Jefferson, Gilpin and Clear Creek Counties, we are seeking a collaborative and community-centered Early Childhood Community Lead to support families, providers, and partners across Western Jefferson, Gilpin and Clear Creek Counties. This position leads local engagement and coordination efforts connected to the Bright Futures Roadmap initiatives and supports work across all Early Childhood Council functions including quality, provider navigation and resource and referral. This position will be expected to work with community partners and needs to allow for a flexible schedule that may include evenings and weekends. Please note this position also allows for a hybrid work schedule, both remote/community and in-office as determined by business. PLEASE NOTE THAT THIS IS A GRANT FUNDED POSITION DEPENDENT ON AVAILABLE FUNDS.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Three (3) years of work-related experience
  • Criminal History and MVR Background Checks are required for every position.
  • Offer of employment is contingent upon successful completion of criminal history, motor vehicle report, education verification, and/or references.
  • A valid Colorado driver’s license is required for positions that drive on County Business in either a county or personal vehicle shall have a Colorado Driver’s license within 30 days of hire or beginning to serve as an intern or volunteer.

  • Ability to facilitate meetings, lead community conversations, and communicate effectively through strong verbal, written, and public speaking skills.
  • Strong organizational and project coordination skills, including managing multiple initiatives, analyzing data and community feedback, and supporting continuous improvement efforts.
  • Commitment to equitable, inclusive, culturally responsive, and trauma-informed practices, with an understanding of the unique needs and barriers facing rural and mountain communities.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for early childhood partners, providers, and families in Western Jefferson, Gilpin and Clear Creek Counties.
  • Lead community engagement efforts to identify regional needs, barriers, and opportunities impacting young children and families.
  • Coordinate and implement assigned Bright Futures Roadmap and UPK initiatives in collaboration with community and internal partners.
  • Build and maintain strong cross-sector partnerships with schools, local governments, nonprofits, health organizations, and ECE providers.
  • Connect families and providers to resources, supports, and early childhood system navigation assistance.
  • Facilitate meetings, workgroups, and community conversations to strengthen collaboration and systems alignment.
  • Collect and share community feedback, data, and evaluation information to support continuous improvement and informed decision-making.
  • Promote equitable, inclusive, and culturally responsive practices throughout all community engagement and program activities.
