The Early Childhood Coach will be responsible for the coordination and oversight of the practice-based coaching system for the program. This role involves developing and maintaining positive, supportive relationships with Head Start classroom staff, conducting classroom observations to identify needs, and providing constructive feedback and support to teaching staff for learning and growth. The coach will also orient new teaching staff to practice-based coaching, coordinate and present workshops on child development topics, and promote best practices in early childhood development and assessment. Additionally, the coach will use reflective practice, travel between sites, continue professional growth, participate in meetings, report concerns, and perform other assigned duties. Effective communication with supervisors, staff, and childcare partners is essential.
