About The Position

This position is part of the TFT bargaining unit but is paid on a different pay scale because it does not require a teaching license. The position pays into SERS, not STRS. The role requires knowledge and experience in Head Start or comparable child development programs, early childhood education, developmentally appropriate practice, bilingual education, and collaboration with parents in their children's education.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in child development or early childhood education from an accredited college or university.
• At least 30 quarter hours or 20 semester hours in child development/preschool program planning and methods, including a supervised practicum with preschool children.
• Knowledge and experience in the philosophy and practices of Head Start or comparable child development programs, early childhood education, developmentally appropriate practice, and bilingual education.
• Education or experience collaborating with parents in the education of their children.
