About The Position

Union County Community Action, Inc. (UCCA) is seeking dedicated Teacher’s Aides to support classroom teachers in providing high-quality early childhood education services to toddlers and preschool-aged children. This role involves assisting teachers with classroom activities, supporting children's developmental and educational needs, and contributing to a positive learning environment. The position is a full-time role, Monday through Friday, with two shift options. UCCA is an eligible employer for the Public Service Loan Forgiveness (PSLF) Program and offers a comprehensive benefits package.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED required
• CPR and First Aid certification required or ability to obtain
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Valid driver’s license required
• Must pass a pre-employment physical, drug screening and TB test, and must submit to random drug screenings.

Nice To Haves

• EDU 119 or CDA Credential preferred
• Experience working with young children preferred

Responsibilities

• Assist teachers with classroom activities and supervision
• Support children’s developmental and educational needs
• Help maintain classroom records and documentation
• Assist with classroom organization and cleanliness
• Supervise children during classroom and outdoor activities
• Support family engagement and communication
