About The Position
This position is for an Early Childhood Center Teacher's Assistant for the 2026-2027 School Year. The role involves supporting certified staff in student instruction and supervision, and maintaining a safe and productive learning environment. The employment term is August through May, with 37.5 hours per week. Additional work in August and June will be paid on an hourly basis.
Requirements
- Must be able to successfully complete FBI background clearance.
- Must obtain a Missouri Substitute Certificate.
Responsibilities
- Assist certified staff members in student instruction.
- Provide student supervision throughout the day as needed.
- Maintain the school environment as a safe, attractive, and productive place in which to learn.
- Support classroom teachers in differentiating instruction where needed.
- Assist in the implementation of curricula to meet academic standards.
- Assist in the implementation of assessments that measure progress toward academic standards.
- Participate in curriculum development, grade-level activities, and school-wide functions.
- Provide high and consistent academic and behavioral expectations.
- Communicate effectively with students, families, and colleagues.
- Other duties as assigned.
