About The Position

Prairie View is seeking a dedicated Early Childhood Case Manager to join their team in McPherson, KS. This role focuses on supporting children aged 0-5 and their families by helping them navigate challenges and celebrate growth. The position involves being a vital link between therapeutic goals and real-world success, acting as a mentor and coach to children, empowering families with practical strategies, and connecting families to essential community resources. The role offers opportunities for professional growth through trauma-informed care training and continuous professional development.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a Behavioral Health Science field (or equivalent).
  • Demonstrated skills in case management.
  • Strong listening and writing skills for assessment and documentation.
  • Must be able to engage with children at their level (bending, squatting, kneeling) and pass a physical restraining program.
  • Must be at least 20 years old.
  • Possess a valid KS Driver’s License.
  • Pass comprehensive background checks (KBI, DCF, etc.).

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with trauma-informed care or emotional regulation techniques.
  • A background in therapeutic, educational, or childcare settings with preschoolers.
  • The ability to lead group activities that foster peer interaction and cooperation.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver developmentally appropriate services aligned with treatment plans to promote healthy social-emotional growth.
  • Monitor child behavior to inform the treatment team and intervene with co-regulation techniques when a child is struggling.
  • Highlight family strengths and provide crisis intervention when necessary.
  • Work alongside a team of clinicians and community partners to ensure a holistic approach to care.
  • Help families integrate into their community and access the tools they need to thrive.
  • Manage about 80 encounters per month and maintain timely documentation (90% of notes within 48 hours).
