About The Position

The Early Childhood Bilingual Education Manager ensures the implementation of developmentally appropriate dual language education within the Guadalupe Centers Early Childhood Center, in alignment with Head Start and NAEYC Education Performance Standards. This role supports staff through curriculum oversight, training, and guidance to promote high-quality programming and school readiness.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education or a closely related field required.
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish required.
  • Knowledge of early childhood education principles and practices required; experience with grant-funded programs preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Proficiency in Google Workspace (Gmail, Calendar, Docs, Sheets, Meet).
  • Ability to pass a background check, drug screening, TB test, and physical examination.
  • FBI and Missouri State fingerprint clearance required.
  • Knowledge of community diversity and cultural dynamics.
  • Ability to work effectively and non-judgmentally with diverse populations, fostering a respectful and inclusive environment.

Responsibilities

  • Demonstrate knowledge and understanding of early childhood domains and their impact on individual child development.
  • Administer NAEYC and Head Start Program Performance Standards related to Education in staff training and development.
  • Provide guidance to administrators, staff, and parents on best practices in early childhood dual language education.
  • Support and monitor effective classroom environments, teacher-child interactions, and dual language curriculum implementation.
  • Monitor and evaluate weekly lesson plans and provide constructive feedback.
  • Coach and support teachers to ensure full implementation of pedagogies that promote higher-order thinking.
  • Support the integration of dual language learners through asset-driven biographies.
  • Collaborate with Mental Health/Disabilities Coordinators to support inclusion of children with special needs.
  • Coordinate timely completion of developmental screenings for newly enrolled children.
  • Ensure accurate and timely record-keeping of developmental screenings.
  • Support and monitor teachers in collecting evidence for children’s portfolios and assessing progress.
  • Prepare aggregated child outcomes reports and share data with staff, administrators, families, and governing bodies.
  • Facilitate data analysis and program improvement planning related to child outcomes.
  • Ensure accurate child education record-keeping in ChildPlus.
  • Assist in the preparation of program performance and statistical reports.
  • Contribute to the program vision and planning process.
  • Provide weekly intensive coaching to at least two teachers or teaching teams and document coaching using required forms.
  • Develop and facilitate group coaching sessions based on identified priority needs.
  • Facilitate or coordinate professional development opportunities, including orientation and classroom-related training.
  • Train, support, and monitor staff in completing required parent conferences and home visits.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
