About The Position

Trinity School for Children in Tampa is seeking enthusiastic individuals to join their Early Childhood team. They provide a premier educational experience for Early Childhood students ages infant through Pre-K. Trinity is in its 26th year and emphasizes parent-partnership with many family and community events and activities. They are adding full-time, year-round Early Childhood Associate Teachers to their team with positions starting immediately. The role involves implementing learning experiences that advance the intellectual, emotional, social, and physical development of children within a safe, healthy learning environment. In this role, you will care for children ages two through five. Trinity offers a great learning environment to build your career in education and provides opportunities to earn hours towards your Staff Credential, CDA, or CDA equivalent.

Requirements

  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • HS diploma or equivalent
  • Willingness to complete Department of Children and Families (DCF) mandatory 45-hour introductory training within one-year of employment in a childcare setting
  • Pre-employment requirements include satisfactory reference checks, drug screen (employer paid), and criminal background check ($95)

Nice To Haves

  • Two (2) years of post-secondary education
  • One (1) year of experience working with children

Responsibilities

  • Continuously monitors the children at all times to ensure safety.
  • Supporting diapering, potty-learning; independent-feeding for toddlers and young children.
  • Use appropriate language and positive behavior support; model appropriate behavior; treat all children with dignity and respect.
  • Maintains confidentiality of program and client related information.
  • Help to maintain a clean and organized learning environment.
  • Interacts and maintains effective relationships with children, coworkers, parents, and administration.
  • Able to stand, walk, sit, use hands, stoop, kneel, crouch, sit on the floor, lift and/or move up to 40 pounds.
