About The Position

The Early Careers Program Manager owns delivery of assigned pathways or client groups across BNY’s Early Careers programs. This role is responsible for executing key program milestones, supporting participants and managers, and driving operational excellence across the program experience. The role is also expected to identify and implement improvements that simplify ways of working, strengthen execution, and use technology to improve processes and the participant experience.

Requirements

  • 5 years in early talent programs, recruiting, program management, learning, talent development, or a related field.
  • Experience owning and delivering programs or projects with accountability for execution and outcomes.
  • Strong stakeholder management, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Experience improving processes and using data, reporting, and technology to strengthen delivery and efficiency.
  • Proficiency with Excel, PowerPoint, and collaboration platforms.

Responsibilities

  • Own delivery of assigned pathways or client groups across key program milestones including prehire engagement, onboarding, induction, learning and development, performance checkpoints, and program completion.
  • Serve as primary point of contact for assigned interns, analysts, and managers, fostering engagement, resolving issues, and ensuring a seamless experience.
  • Coordinate program activities, timelines, communications, and deliverables for assigned pathways or client groups to ensure a consistent experience and strong execution at each stage.
  • Partner with managers to confirm role expectations, placement details, and participant support needs, and ensure smooth onboarding and transitions throughout the program lifecycle.
  • Support delivery of learning, engagement, and development experiences aligned to program objectives and core skill development.
  • Build effective working relationships with managers, business stakeholders, and partner teams to support delivery of assigned pathways or client groups.
  • Provide clear and timely updates to stakeholders on program milestones, participant progress, and items requiring action or escalation.
  • Support managers with guidance, communications, and tools that help them create a strong experience for interns and analysts.
  • Facilitate recurring meetings for assigned pathways or client groups to review upcoming deliverables, address issues, and drive follow-up actions.
  • Execute performance processes for assigned cohorts, including goal tracking, feedback checkpoints, calibration support, and end-of-program evaluations.
  • Monitor participant progress, identify risks or support needs, and partner with managers and stakeholders to take timely action.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and follow-up actions related to performance and talent decisions for assigned groups.
  • Use program data, participant feedback, and operational insights to identify trends, improve participant experience, and strengthen delivery across assigned pathways or client groups.
  • Drive operational excellence by identifying process improvements, simplifying activities, and standardizing tools, templates, and ways of working to improve quality and efficiency.
  • Use technology and digital tools to improve processes, reduce manual effort, and support a more efficient and engaging program experience.
  • Implement changes that improve execution across assigned programs and contribute practical solutions that advance the Early Careers team’s overall ways of working.
  • Maintain program documentation, reporting, and governance requirements with a strong focus on quality, consistency, and compliance.
