About the role We are seeking a highly motivated and intellectually curious intern to join our Municipals team. The ideal candidate will be deeply interested in markets and investing, collaborative, and highly driven. As an intern, you will work alongside credit analysts who conduct fundamental credit research within municipal bond market. You will gain firsthand exposure to the investment process, learn how professional investors evaluate risk and opportunity, and contribute to real research projects that support investment decisions. This is an opportunity to move beyond headlines and market commentary and develop the analytical skills required to understand businesses, industries, capital structures, and credit risk at a professional level.

Requirements

  • Currently enrolled in a bachelor’s degree program and be a rising Junior graduating by summer of 2028
  • Minimum GPA of 3.5 on a 4.0 scale
  • All majors are welcomed with an emphasis on Finance, Accounting, Mathematics, Stats, Economics, Computer Science, Engineering, Data Analytics, or Business-related field
  • A demonstrated interest in financial markets & investments
  • Familiarity with Excel and financial statement analysis
  • High attention to detail and strong work ethic
  • Must be able to work in Invesco's New York office
  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S. on a permanent basis. We do not offer any type of employment-based immigration sponsorship for this program. Nice To Haves

  • Experience with creative problem solving and analytical thinking
  • Experience with prioritizing work and meeting deadlines in a fast-paced work environment
  • Prior internship in investment management is preferred but not required
  • Experience gathering and interpreting market data

Responsibilities

  • Support the team in conducting fundamental credit research
  • Build and maintain financial models and credit monitoring tools
  • Research potential investment opportunities and present findings to the team
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams on assigned tasks and initiatives
  • Attend team meetings and complete assigned projects within established timelines
  • Prepare presentations, summaries, and other materials for internal and external stakeholders
  • Seek feedback and guidance from mentors and team members to support learning and growth
  • Participate in training sessions and networking opportunities to further develop your technical and professional skills
  • Join regular team meetings to understand our top-down macro investment process and performance metrics. Includes portfolio manager, client portfolio manager, risk, and research teams
