About The Position

Invesco is seeking driven students for its 9-week Summer Internship Program, kicking off in June 2027. This program offers a chance to dive into the fast-paced world of investments, learn from industry professionals, and build lasting connections. Interns will gain hands-on experience, receive one-on-one mentorship, and get an inside look at working at a global investment firm. The program includes various initiatives such as orientation, networking events, development workshops, and volunteer activities. Successful interns may be eligible for a full-time offer to join Invesco's Early Career Program after graduation.

Requirements

  • Currently enrolled in a bachelor’s degree program and be a rising Junior graduating by summer of 2028
  • Minimum GPA of 3.2 on a 4.0 scale
  • All majors are welcomed with an emphasis on Finance, Accounting, Mathematics, Stats, Economics, Computer Science, Engineering, Data Analytics, or Business-related field
  • A demonstrated interest in investments
  • Experience gathering and interpreting market data
  • Intermediate proficiency with Python and Excel
  • Must be able to work in Invesco’s Downers Grove office (located in Chicago suburbs), where the ETF program is available
  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S. on a permanent basis. We do not offer any type of employment-based immigration sponsorship for this program. Invesco will not provide any assistance or sign any documentation in support of any other form of immigration sponsorship or benefit including optional practical training (OPT) or curricular practical training (CPT).
  • Relocation and housing will not be included if an offer is extended.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with creative problem solving and analytical thinking
  • Experience with prioritizing work and meeting deadlines in a fast-paced work environment
  • Prior internship in investment management is preferred but not required
  • Intermediate proficiency with Dash, React, Git, and/or Bloomberg Terminal preferred

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams on assigned tasks and initiatives
  • Attend team meetings, complete assigned projects within established timelines, and present findings to management
  • Prepare presentations, summaries, and other materials for internal and external stakeholders
  • Seek feedback and guidance from mentors and team members to support learning and growth
  • Conduct investment strategy, security and market analysis using quantitative, fundamental, peer and market research
  • Support critical team activities and projects through research of industry trends, financial statements, and market data
  • Participate in training sessions and networking opportunities to further develop your technical and professional skills
  • Join regular team meetings to understand our investment process and performance metrics, including portfolio manager, client portfolio manager, risk, and research teams
