About The Position

This 9-week Summer Internship Program offers an opportunity to work within Global Business Services (GBS) and the Global Controller team, supporting critical accounting and reporting functions across North America and EMEA. As part of the Summer Internship Program cohort, interns will participate in orientation, networking events, development workshops, and volunteer activities. They will work alongside talented teams to learn about the business and contribute to meaningful initiatives that shape financial processes and reporting standards. The role offers an opportunity to apply skills in a dynamic environment, assisting with managing accounting processes, SEC reporting, and contributing to audits and process improvements. Strong performance may lead to a full-time offer to join the Early Career Program after graduation.

Requirements

  • Currently enrolled in a bachelor’s degree program and graduating by summer of 2028
  • A major in accounting is required
  • General knowledge of accounting principles gained through coursework
  • Must be able to work in one of Invesco’s offices where the program is available
  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S. on a permanent basis. We do not offer any type of employment-based immigration sponsorship for this program.
  • Invesco will not provide any assistance or sign any documentation in support of any other form of immigration sponsorship or benefit including optional practical training (OPT) or curricular practical training (CPT)

Responsibilities

  • Assist with accounting for North America and EMEA expenses
  • Utilize general ledger applications to prepare monthly journal entries and perform monthly/quarterly account analysis
  • Support Accounts Receivable (AR) processes, including tracking payments, reconciling accounts, and resolving discrepancies
  • Assist with SEC reporting and compliance: contribute to preparation of SEC filings (10-Q, 10-K, 8-K), quarterly disclosure committee materials, and SOX controls
  • Monitor and reconcile daily share transactions, prepare wire transfers, and support monthly expense reimbursement reporting
  • Facilitate internal and external audits and respond to ad hoc requests to support senior management decision-making
  • Compile data for business partners to review accruals during month-end and quarter-end close
  • Support quarterly metrics reporting and process improvement initiatives
  • Participate in team meetings with Accounting leadership to explore ways to streamline and improve processes
  • Support the evaluation, testing, and adoption of Artificial Intelligence (AI) solutions by identifying opportunities to improve business processes, assisting with the development and validation of AI agents and automation tools, and analyzing outcomes to ensure effectiveness, accuracy, and alignment with business objectives
  • Perform other ad hoc duties as necessary
