About The Position

AVI Foodsystems at Aultman Hospital is seeking an applicant for a part-time Sandwich-Salad/Cold Prep position, primarily for early mornings. This role involves various food preparation tasks such as measuring ingredients, cutting fruits and vegetables, slicing meat, and following recipes to create items like egg salad, tuna salad, chicken salad, and building salads and sandwiches. The position also includes preparing grab-n-go items, operating a labeling machine, and assisting on the patient trayline by reading meal tickets and assembling patient trays. Key responsibilities include maintaining clean and sanitized workstations, adhering to all company, client, and regulatory procedures, and fostering positive working relationships. The ideal candidate will maintain a calm demeanor during busy periods, set a positive example for the team, and demonstrate a desire to learn and grow.

Requirements

Required to follow and give written and verbal instructions
Ability to learn quickly and work well independently
Ability to understand and carry out oral and written instructions and request clarification when needed
Ability to work as part of a team
Maintain regular and consistent attendance and punctuality, with or without reasonable accommodation
Available to work flexible hours that may include early mornings, evenings, weekends, nights and/or holidays
Available to perform many different tasks during each shift

Responsibilities

Measuring food
Cutting fruits & vegetables
Slicing meat on slicer
Following recipes to make egg salad, tuna salad, chicken salad
Following recipes to build salads and sandwiches
Building items for grab n go (salads, sandwiches, fruit cups, veggie cups)
Using the labeling machine
Assisting on patient trayline reading meal tickets and building patient trays
Clean and sanitize workstations and equipment and must follow all AVI Foodsystems, client and regulatory rules and procedures
Maintain a calm demeanor during periods of high volume or unusual events to keep production consistent to our standards and to set a positive example for the shift team
Have a desire to learn and grow
Follow AVI operational policies and procedures
Maintain a clean and organized workspace at all times
Maintain and foster positive and professional working relationships
Other duties and responsibilities as necessary
