About The Position

The Effector Analog & Power (EAP) Team at Raytheon is seeking an Intern to join our team as an Electrical Computer Aided Design Engineer (ECAD). This position is an onsite role, located in Tucson, AZ.

Requirements

  • Must be pursuing Bachelors degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM), or in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering Technology is required
  • Must have a minimum of 30 hours of credit by the start of the internship / co-op session.
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

Nice To Haves

  • 3.0 cumulative GPA desired
  • Board layout experience of single and multi-lamination boards
  • Experience in layout tools such as Siemens Xpedition Enterprise, Altium, EAGLE, or alike
  • Familiarity with IPC 6012 & IPC 6013 is a plus
  • Previous experience within the below areas is a plus:Circuit design, circuit layout, and circuit manufacturing
  • Basic component layout and routing and basic circuit checks

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for Printed Circuit Board (PCB) designs from conception to manufacturing
  • Creation of the PCB, Circuit Card Assembly (CCA), and Schematic drawings for suppliers
  • Schematic Capture, Component Placement, Routing of Traces, Gerber/ODB++ file creation
  • Design layouts include Rigid, Flex, and Rigid-Flex assemblies
  • Working designs include full designs, re-spins, drawing updates, change notices, copper changes, and process improvement projects within and outside own discipline
  • Daily interface with various engineering levels along with different engineering disciplines including, but not limited to Electrical, Mechanical, Components, Test, and Producibility Engineering disciplines to ensure that the overall design requirements are captured, keeping cost, cycle time, and producibility in mind
