About The Position

Boeing Global Services is searching for an EA-18G Structures Mechanic to join the team in Whidbey Island, WA and will play a critical role in the modification and enhancement of the EA-18G Growler aircraft's structural components to support capability upgrades. This position requires expertise in structural repairs, capability modification processes, and adherence to aerospace quality and safety standards ensuring mission readiness and airworthiness.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 years' experience on the F/A-18 and/or EA-18G platform
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and engineering change documents.
  • Minimum of 3 years' experience with aircraft fuselage or wing structures assembly, maintenance or repair

Nice To Haves

  • Technical certification or associate degree in Aerospace Technology, Aviation Maintenance, or related field.
  • Strong commitment to safety, quality standards, and continuous process improvement.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a dynamic, deadline-driven environment.
  • Familiarity with EA-18G Growler systems and modification processes preferred.
  • Excellent communication skills to interface with engineering, quality, and production teams.
  • Relevant military aviation structural maintenance experience is a strong plus.
  • Completion of FAA or equivalent military aircraft structural repair certifications.
  • Familiarity with Boeing's manufacturing and quality control systems.

Responsibilities

  • Perform complex structural modifications and repairs on EA-18G Growler aircraft, ensuring compliance with engineering drawings, specifications, and technical bulletins.
  • Execute capability upgrades focusing on structural integrity, aerodynamics, and integration with electronic warfare systems.
  • Interpret and utilize blueprints, technical manuals, wiring diagrams, and modification instructions specifically related to aircraft structures.
  • Collaborate with engineering, quality assurance, and production teams to ensure correct execution of modifications.
  • Maintain detailed documentation and records of repair/modification activities, inspection results, and configuration changes.
  • Adhere strictly to safety procedures, environmental regulations, and Boeing’s quality management systems.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance modification processes, reduce cycle times, and improve aircraft capability.
  • Support troubleshooting efforts to resolve structural issues affecting aircraft performance or mission readiness.
