About The Position

The Digital Transformation Vertical Vice Presidency was established on July 1, 2024, and guides the World Bank Group efforts to establish the foundations of a digital economy, build and enhance digital and data infrastructure, ensure cybersecurity and data privacy for institutions, businesses, and citizens, and advance digital government services. The Digital Vice Presidency and its global and regional teams support client countries in building the foundational and cross-cutting elements of digital transformation. The Development Effectiveness unit plays an important role in advising the VP and DSO on all matters pertaining to strategic planning and management, market intelligence, partnerships, including trust fund oversight, monitoring and evaluation, stakeholder engagement, knowledge management, collaboration with Regions and Verticals, and outreach to external partners. The Unit supports the VPU’s engagement on corporate priorities including Knowledge Bank, Operations Efficiency and Effectiveness, Corporate Scorecard and other initiatives aimed at achieving speed, scale and impact.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Knowledge Management, Information management, Computer Science, Communications, Business Administration or a related field, with a minimum of five years of relevant experience.
  • High degree of motivation, flexibility, reliability, and responsiveness to changing demands; capacity for effective multi-tasking, with demonstrated ability of being an independent starter with minimal supervision, and a high capacity to persevere for results.
  • Proficient in Microsoft suite of tools (Teams, Office, SharePoint, Forms, etc.) and maintenance of intranet sites.
  • Strong communication, collaboration, and relationship building skills and a strong attention to detail and advanced organizational skills.
  • Proven analytical, research and problem-solving skills and ability to apply these in carrying out research tasks, identifying issues, presenting findings/recommendations and contributing to resolution of issues.
  • Excellent written communication skills as demonstrated in a proven track record of effectively delivering technical information.
  • Excellent presentation skills, using charts, graphs, and other data presentation techniques appropriately to communicate data, technical information, or complex concepts to non-specialists.

Nice To Haves

  • Master’s degree preferred.
  • Experience with designing learning programs is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

  • Work with the Korean MSIT and the PCO event management company and assist with the planning and successful implementation of the GDS.
  • Coordinate digital’s GDS WBG organizing team on the program, agenda, logistics, invitees, and all relevant tasks of the Summit.
  • Coordinate and support the implementation of Knowledge 360 for Digital & AI Vertical.
  • Lead the curation of resources, country analytics, policy research, sector collections, implementation lessons, and Terms of Reference templates for K-360 central team.
  • Assist with the planning and implementation of learning events for WBG staff in the second phase of DRIVE.
  • Develop and update the landing page for DRIVE and assist with the coordination of meetings, sourcing speakers and working with various organizing teams.
  • Assist relevant staff with the implementation of Digital & AI BBL’s and learning events.
  • Maintain and regularly update the Digital & AI Intranet and related repositories, including IFC content, and record and report metrics that measure its effectiveness.
  • Create intranet landing pages for Digital & AI vertical and for global staff as needed.
  • Ensure the knowledge calendar is updated on a regular basis and work with digital events points of contact to ensure that events are posted in a timely manner.
  • Work with KML staff to coordinate the delivery of academy events and liaise with central WBG Academy team to ensure successful delivery and appropriate guidelines are adopted.
  • Assess effectiveness of training/learning events through surveys, evaluations, and key metrics and report findings.
  • Organize cohort onboarding events for new Digital & AI staff.
  • Design, plan and implement 1-2 onboarding days for new staff.
  • Ensure Digital & AI Onboarding site is maintained and up to date and include relevant content from IFC.
