About The Position

The E-Recording Specialist digitally submits, audits, and tracks real estate legal documents like deeds and mortgages with county recording offices using secure online portals.

• General understanding of residential real estate transactions, title and loan closing procedures preferred.

Responsibilities

• Review executed closing documents for proper signatures, legal descriptions, and notary compliance before filing.
• Submit real estate packages through secure e-recording platforms (such as Simplifile) to county courthouses.
• Calculate, balance, and process recording fees and transfer taxes, avoiding rejections due to incorrect payments.
• Track rejections or county feedback, correct indexing or data errors, and re-submit filings quickly.
• Update title production software (specifically ResWare) to log recording status, confirmation numbers, and final stamped images.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
• Maintains regular and reliable attendance as an essential function of the position, ensuring consistent coverage of duties during scheduled business hours.
