The E&I Technician is responsible for designing electrical instruments, equipment, facilities, components, products, and systems for commercial, industrial, and domestic purposes. This role involves planning and implementing research methodology, preparing technical drawings, developing applications for controls and systems, and overseeing installation and testing activities. The technician will also perform detailed calculations, estimate costs, and compile data for reports. A significant part of the role includes general electrical and control troubleshooting, including PLC and computer-controlled equipment, and programming/documenting changes to PLC, DCS, and control systems. Travel of 0-20% overnight may be required.
