Georgia-Pacific Corrugated is seeking an Electrical & Instrumentation Technician to join our Maintenance team in Sheboygan, WI! Our team creates value by safely assisting with the production of corrugated boxes for our valued customers. This role involves troubleshooting and repairing, performing preventative maintenance, calibration, and installation of plant electrical, electronic, instrumentation, and automation equipment. The technician will use specialized computers and software to maintain instrumentation, PLCs, and electrical systems, and will work with low-medium-high voltage systems, AC/DC systems, lighting, motors, and more. Advanced ability to read and interpret electrical diagrams, schematics, and drawings is essential, as is the use of specialized tools and testers. The role also includes changing hardware in systems for optimal process control, operating and training HMI and Robotics system controls, planning and scheduling maintenance tasks, performing maintenance on monitoring equipment, and managing E&I projects. The technician is expected to serve as a Subject Matter Expert, be available for consult calls, be postured for routine on-call status, provide electrical assistance plant-wide, and mentor/train peers. Knowledge of electrical hazards, safety procedures, NFPA 70 arc flash electrical safety, and OSHA regulations is required.
