About The Position

Under minimum supervision, troubleshoots electrical systems circuitry. Demonstrates a knowledge of various test and calibration equipment, services instrument system electrical components, and demonstrates ability to read and understand systems circuit diagrams and specifications and engineering drawings. Performs limited service, repair, calibration, and tuning of electrical control systems. The Maintenance Mechanic, Electrical Systems (E&I Technician) will promote and support company core value/competencies including but are not limited to: Upholds B&R Business Ethics and Code of Conduct. Under minimum supervision, troubleshoots electrical systems circuitry. Demonstrates a knowledge of various test and calibration equipment, services various instrument system electrical components, and demonstrates ability to read and understand systems P&ID’s, component specifications, and engineering drawings. Performs service, repair, calibration, and tuning of electrical control systems and components per Manufacturer, Owner Engineering/Procedures, and/or Quality Assurance Standards. Communication Skills – Comprehend documents such as safety rules, operating maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. The ability to understand information, ideas, direction and then can perform the task or project discussed. Also, to be able to ask questions to insure you understand the information given. Follow established job-site safety and regulations and maintain a safe and clean work area. Identify safety hazards you or other employees may be subject to and take all necessary corrective action to eliminate or minimize hazards. Read and understand P&ID drawings, along with associated plans and specifications. Use appropriate associated hand and power tools to properly support work activity to include the following diagnostic instruments: -30 to 30 Pump -30 to 100 Pump 475 Communicator Fluke w/Hart Loop Fluke Temperature Drive Produce quality work, meeting requirements of specific verbal instructions, plans, and specifications supporting industry standards. Monitor work progression to ensure compliance to codes & standards. Perform all other job-related duties as requested by Supervisor.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Certification/Qualification in discipline through NCCER, Recognized Apprenticeship Program, and/or 2-Yr. associate’s degree
  • 5-7 years’ experience working in an industrial type setting
  • Ability to read and understand systems circuit diagrams and specifications and engineering drawings.
  • Knowledge of various test and calibration equipment.
  • Ability to read and understand systems P&ID’s, component specifications, and engineering drawings.
  • Ability to understand information, ideas, direction and then can perform the task or project discussed.
  • Ability to ask questions to insure you understand the information given.
