Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced and motivated Electrical and Instrumentation (E&I) Supervisor to lead our E&I team. This pivotal role involves overseeing the installation, maintenance, calibration, and troubleshooting of all electrical and instrumentation systems within our facility to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient operations. The ideal candidate will combine technical expertise with strong leadership skills to drive team performance and support continuous improvement initiatives.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; a technical degree Instrumentation Technology, or a related discipline is highly preferred.
  • Minimum of 5+ years of experience in industrial maintenance within a relevant process industry (e.g., manufacturing, power generation).
  • At least 2-4 years of proven supervisory or leadership experience in an E&I role.
  • Strong knowledge of industrial electrical systems (up to 480V/higher voltages as needed), motor control systems, and process instrumentation.
  • Proficiency in PLC/DCS programming and troubleshooting, HMI, and SCADA systems.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret technical procedures, electrical schematics, and blueprints.
  • Familiarity with industry codes and standards (e.g., NEC, ISA, NFPA 70E).
  • Exceptional leadership, team coordination, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Highly organized with strong planning and prioritization capabilities.
  • Ability to work in indoor and outdoor industrial environments, including exposure to all weather conditions, heights, and confined spaces.
  • Ability to wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
  • Overtime, nights, holidays, and weekend work may be required based on plant needs and equipment demands.
  • Visual acuity (corrected) to read directions and prints and to inspect machined parts, product to ensure parts meet specifications.
  • Manual dexterity is sufficient to operate machinery for precision work.
  • Physical ability to do work requiring frequent stooping, standing, squatting, bending, crawling, twisting, and lifting of 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

  • Team Leadership : Supervise, coordinate, and mentor a team of E&I technicians and contractors, planning and prioritizing daily work schedules and ensuring adherence to safety protocols and industry best practices.
  • Maintenance & Repair : Oversee the inspection, repair, calibration, and rebuilding of electrical and instrumentation systems, including motors, control panels, sensors, PLCs, DCS, and communication networks.
  • Troubleshooting & Analysis : Provide expert technical guidance for diagnosing complex issues in control loops, electrical drives, and automation systems, leading root cause analyses for equipment failures.
  • Safety & Compliance : Ensure all work is performed in strict accordance with relevant safety standards (e.g., OSHA, NFPA 70E), electrical codes, and regulatory requirements, conducting regular safety audits and implementing preventive measures.
  • Project Management Support : Participate in project planning and execution, including scope reviews, design basis requirements, and acceptance testing for new installations and system upgrades.
  • Documentation & Reporting : Maintain accurate documentation, including calibration records, maintenance reports, technical drawings (P&IDs, loop diagrams, schematics), and project data using a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
  • Inventory & Budget: Manage inventory of critical spare parts and testing equipment and provide input to the development of the annual maintenance budget.
  • Training: Develop and implement training programs to enhance the skills and knowledge of the E&I team.
