About The Position

JDS Energy & Mining is seeking an experienced and motivated Electrical & Instrumentation (E&I) Superintendent to support maintenance and operational excellence on active mining projects. This is a site-based, camp, fly-in/fly-out (FIFO) role responsible for leading electrical, instrumentation, control systems, and automation maintenance activities across complex mining and mineral processing operations. The E&I Superintendent provides both field leadership and technical oversight, ensuring critical electrical and control systems are maintained safely, reliably, and efficiently to support production objectives. This role serves as a key link between maintenance, operations, engineering, contractors, and project teams to ensure safe, efficient, and technically sound asset management. Responsibilities

  • Lead and supervise electrical, instrumentation, and control systems maintenance activities on site
  • Provide technical oversight to ensure maintenance work aligns with company standards, OEM requirements, and regulatory obligations
  • Manage and mentor E&I supervisors, electricians, instrumentation technicians, and contractors
  • Support maintenance planning, scheduling, shutdowns, and execution activities
  • Develop and implement preventative, predictive, and corrective maintenance strategies
  • Drive equipment reliability initiatives and continuous improvement programs
  • Monitor and report on key performance indicators including availability, downtime, and maintenance costs
  • Lead troubleshooting efforts and root cause failure analysis investigations
  • Coordinate with operations, engineering, contractors, and project stakeholders
  • Support commissioning, capital projects, and plant improvement initiatives
  • Conduct field inspections, safety observations, hazard assessments, and incident investigations
  • Ensure compliance with electrical codes, mining regulations, and company policies
  • Maintain accurate maintenance records, reporting, and documentation
  • Support budget development, cost control, and contractor management
  • Ensure all work aligns with company policies, specifications, and regulatory
