The E&I Superintendent actively supports the Company’s commitment to safety and its “Core Values.” This role represents the Company at all times with high moral standards while adhering to the Company’s “Code of Business Conduct and Ethics.” The Superintendent plans and supervises work activities, determining methods of construction, safety procedures and requirements, manpower levels, material quantities, equipment, temporary power sources, and work schedules. They coordinate assigned work with different crafts, company departments, and/or subcontractors, and maintain liaison with the safety department, engineering, estimating, and planning to ensure work complies with safety policies, drawings, specifications, and schedules. The role assists in resolving construction problems and safety issues, conducts accident investigations with the safety department as required, and maintains communication with the HR Department to resolve issues of requisitioning required manpower. The E&I Superintendent monitors craft compliance with the project safety program requirements, documents and ensures corrective measures are implemented, and maintains liaison with other departments (Material Control, Purchasing, Quality Control, and Engineering) to ensure all required materials, equipment, inspections, etc., support craft activities and project schedule. They conduct field safety audits as required and maintain a complete understanding of the Corporate Safety Manual and requirements. Additional responsibilities may be assigned as directed.
