This role is generally responsible for planning and scheduling heavy industrial engineering projects, monitoring project costs, and/or estimating projects. The work will be performed under minimal supervision. Primary responsibilities will include leading assigned portions of outage scope through the planning and execution stages, organizing materials through expediting, quoting prices, and ensuring the correct parts are available for jobs. The role involves developing scope for assigned work orders within the outage, identifying secondary and/or support disciplines required, and creating detailed job packages in Cleopatra for each work order utilizing planning templates. Activities include defining individual tasks, manpower, durations, and assigned disciplines. The E&I Planner will provide daily schedule updates during outage execution and create job planning packages for each work order per site guidelines for both internal and external distribution. Packages may include pictures, P&IDs, BOMs, tools, safe work procedures, applicable standards, and QC requirements. The position also requires providing leadership in risk management, contractor safety, and mitigating safety issues in operations, supporting Management of Change processes, and maintaining communication with craftspeople, contractor representatives, and materials suppliers. Upholding high standards of housekeeping and conducting frequent formal housekeeping inspections are also key responsibilities. The role requires completing close out and documentation as required by standards and procedures, willingness to work a wide variety of scheduled days and hours following strict fatigue management guidelines, and the ability to work without close supervision. The E&I Planner must work professionally and harmoniously with co-workers, supervisors, management, support personnel, program participants, and business-related persons, utilizing a positive and constructive attitude toward problem and conflict resolution. Accepting direction, criticism, and supervision, demonstrating the ability to remain calm in demanding situations, and working within and promoting a teamwork philosophy are essential. Making good use of time, completing assigned tasks in a timely manner, and maintaining a mindset towards continuous improvement are expected. The ability to demonstrate and perform efficiently and reliably in all categories of this document, and to achieve various State mandated/Federal certifications (OSHA and TWIC are required) is necessary. Prioritizing the "Zero is achievable" safety policy in words and actions to protect self, others, and the environment, and upholding high ethical standards with an unwillingness to compromise on worker safety and regulatory compliance requirements are paramount. Demonstrating positive, supportive, and cooperative behavior in interactions is also crucial.
