Overview Leads crew of craftspeople, helpers or laborers in performing their craft functions. The Lead Person plans, schedules and supervises the work in a safe, timely and productive manner. Possesses a strong aptitude for leadership, making necessary decisions relating to the accomplishment of construction or maintenance tasks. Uses good communication skills and interfaces well with other field personnel and the client. Responsible for certain administrative duties, including timesheets for crewmembers, production reports and schedules.

Requirements

Able to diagnose basic problems using basic tolls and equipment
Basic knowledge of NEC electrical codes
Eagerness to learn electrical schematics and blueprint reading skills
Work within precise limits or standards of accuracy
Plan work and select proper tools
Reporting unsafe conditions and practices
Performing only those jobs on which they have been trained and/or authorized
Has knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field
Relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job
Works under immediate supervision
Primary job functions do not typically require exercising independent judgment
Typically reports to a supervisor or manager
