About The Position

The E-Commerce Intern will support Hormel Foods' growing digital commerce initiatives by assisting with online retail execution, digital content management, sales analytics, and marketplace optimization. This role provides hands-on experience working with cross-functional teams to drive online growth across major retail and marketplace platforms while gaining exposure to digital marketing, e-commerce strategy, and consumer insights.

Requirements

  • Must graduate in August 2027, December 2027, or May 2028 with a Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Digital Marketing, E-Commerce, Analytics, Supply Chain, Economics, or a related field with a minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA preferred.
  • Applicants must not now, or at any time in the future, require employer sponsorship for a work visa.
  • Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States for any employer.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and other Microsoft Office applications.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Demonstrated interest in e-commerce, digital marketing, retail, or consumer packaged goods.
  • Proven ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with data visualization, analytics tools, or digital platforms is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with the execution of e-commerce strategies across key online retail and marketplace partners.
  • Support product content management, including product descriptions, images, specifications, and digital shelf audits.
  • Analyze online sales, traffic, and assortment data to identify trends and opportunities.
  • Monitor product availability, pricing, ratings, reviews, and competitive activity across e-commerce platforms.
  • Develop reports and presentations that summarize key business insights and performance metrics.
  • Collaborate with Sales, Marketing, Brand Management, Category Management, and Analytics teams on business initiatives.
  • Assist with promotional planning and digital merchandising activities.
  • Participate in consumer and market research projects to support digital growth strategies.
  • Identify opportunities to improve online consumer experiences and conversion rates.
  • Complete special projects and additional responsibilities as assigned.
