About The Position

The Online Sales / E-Commerce Assistant Manager is responsible for the support of the management functions in Goodwill Industries of Mississippi’s E-Commerce Department. This position ensures excellent customer service, digital merchandise presentation, and loss control and prevention. Additionally, this individual holds key responsibilities in the processing and posting of jewelry and collectible items.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Completion of NRF Customer Service Training within 6 months of hire date.
  • Ability to use tools in department to accurately determine value of jewelry and collectibles.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Supports the mission and vision of Goodwill Industries of Mississippi, Inc.
  • Open availability.
  • Maintains a valid driver license.
  • Working knowledge of computers, including the Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Promotes and demonstrates ethical practices in all activities.
  • Promotes a safe work environment and follows all CARF requirements.
  • Ability to pass alcohol/drug screenings, criminal background check, and insurance driving record check.
  • Works in an environment with occasional high stress and short deadlines requiring overtime.
  • Sits, stands, and walks for most of the workday.
  • Routinely reaches.
  • Infrequently bends, pulls, and pushes.
  • Infrequently team lifts 25-50 pounds.
  • Minimal travel required. May travel to other locations to assist with management duties or training. Some travel for meetings, conferences and/or trainings may be required.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for attaining sales quota for department by maximizing production and sales from operations of the E-Commerce Department.
  • Assists in the supervising of department activities in an orderly and professional manner as to ensure maximum customer satisfaction and to provide security and protection of donated merchandise.
  • Provides direction and assists in the management of department employees in the absence of the E-Commerce Manager.
  • Effectively manages the delivery and receipt of donated goods to maximize sales and control shrinkage.
  • Assists in managing the receiving, sorting, preparation, listing, inventorying, and shipping of jewelry and collectibles throughout the department.
  • Maintains a clean and safe work environment.
  • Attends all training sessions as directed.
  • Effectively communicates company policies and procedures to all employees.
  • Maintains a high level of confidentiality.
  • All other duties as assigned.
