About The Position

This position is responsible for leading the full range of procurement processes, with a strong emphasis on managing contracts for general services and construction at the plant level. The role involves supporting global efforts in procuring indirect categories, including construction, general services, and equipment (including spare parts). Key responsibilities include owning the procurement process, strategic sourcing, subcontracting, vendor management, and assisting in the drafting of procurement documents. The specialist will also prepare payment vouchers, manage a high volume of work in a fast-paced environment, ensure supplier performance, and be available for overtime and global collaboration. Additionally, the role involves workforce and performance management, including leading meetings, reporting on KPIs, and coordinating with other departments. Staying updated on industry trends and supply base is also crucial.

Requirements

  • Korean language proficiency is REQUIRED (our suppliers are located in Korea)
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Management, Supply Chain, Finance or related field from accredited university
  • 3+ years experience with MRP-ERP business systems. Full working knowledge of supply chain systems with implementation experience.
  • 3+ years experience in Manufacturing environment
  • Advanced experience with Microsoft Suite
  • Fluent in SAP MM Module
  • Responsible for leading the full range of procurement processes.
  • Effective communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills.
  • Extensive experience working in the procurement department in a related field

Responsibilities

  • Contract for General Service / Construction (Plant Level) ? Labor Service for manufacturing line / facilities as needed at the best price from reliable sources, consistent with established standards for quality, quantity and SK requirements.
  • Support global -based efforts to drive effective procurement of indirect categories (e.g. Local / Global, 1. Construction, General Service contracts, 2. Equipment (+Spare Parts) etc.)
  • Own the procurement process and support for various procurement functions such as strategic sourcing, subcontracting, vendor file management, and assist staff in drafting of requests for proposals, specifications, terms of refence, evaluation criteria and sole source justifications.
  • Prepare a voucher for all purchased items and construction, service contract as per progressive payment condition.
  • Able to manage a high volume of work in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Ensured assigned service suppliers are meeting agreed upon service requirements as per contract
  • Able to work overtime and flexibility for conferring with co-worker and vendors located globally
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned
  • Leads regular meetings with direct staff and cross functional teams to ensure assignments, objectives, cost savings and deliverables are on target
  • Demonstrated ability to report to work on a regular and consistent basis; work safely; and follow company policies and procedures
  • Get reports on key procurement / logistics activities / results on a weekly basis
  • Assign and direct work according to procurement / logistics plan for each team (Procurement, Logistics)
  • Responsible for achieving , monitoring, and reporting Key Performance Indicators (KPI's)
  • Confer with other managers or global staff to coordinate activities in related departments
  • Collect and voice opinions when the revision and/or establishment of new work procedures are needed
  • Stay up to date on industry trends and supply base
