E-Bike Mechanic, Los Angeles
About The Position
Upway is a fast growing startup building the largest marketplace for refurbished e-bikes globally. We are looking for a Bike Mechanic for our Los Angeles UpCenter. The mechanic team repairs a large number of different used e-bikes and refurbishes them to excellent condition, providing Upway’s customers with a high-quality and vast e-bike selection As a mechanic, you will carry out the entire repair process of an e-bike and ensure that the bikes are delivered of excellent quality. You will work with your teammates in a well-equipped UpCenter in Los Angeles, dealing with e-bikes only. Due to the large selection of different e-bikes (mountain bikes, city bikes, cargo bikes; heavily used to almost new), the job remains varied and highly challenging.
Requirements
- You have thorough expertise in electric bike mechanics. (1-2y for Bike Mechanic, 2y+ for Senior Bike Mechanic)
- You have a passion for excellence and enjoy working thoroughly and independently
- You enjoy trying out new repair processes and their continuous improvement
- You have decent knowledge of English
Responsibilities
- Repair e-bikes independently with everything that goes with it (reception, inspection, fault finding, spare parts selection, repair, quality control)
- Together with your team, you prepare e-bikes for delivery to our customers and keep the existing fleet in good shape
- Work on constantly improving our service and our e-bikes
- Become an essential part of our team and bring in your ideas for optimizing our repair process
