About The Position

Gwillimdale Farms is a family-owned and operated business located near Bradford. We are more than just a vegetable farm; we are a growing business that supplies produce both locally and internationally to food manufacturers, retailers, food service providers, and wholesale distributors. This role is vital for our harvesting function and is a short-term position for 6 to 8 weeks to assist during our harvest season.

Requirements

• Valid DZ Driver's License required.
• Minimum 3 years DZ/AZ driving experience.
• Clean Driver's Abstract.
• Ability to drive 18 speed manual transmission.
• Ability to lift a minimum of 50 lbs.
• Combination of sitting, standing, walking, bending.
• Sound discrimination.
• Ability to work in dusty conditions.

Nice To Haves

• Any other machine experience is a great asset.
• Previous farm experience.
• The ability to drive tractors and other farm machinery is an asset.
• Heavy equipment operator license/education/experience is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Operate trucks safely and efficiently during harvest period, drive in correlation with harvest machinery.
• Operates vehicle in compliance with municipal driving and regulations as well as with Company policies and procedures.
• Conducts thorough vehicle and tractor-trailer inspections for mechanical and safety issues and perform preventative maintenance.
• Other duties may be assigned.
