About The Position
Adelphi is seeking Dyslexia Teachers to provide services to students at schools in Houston, Texas. The ideal candidates will deliver structured, evidence -based literacy intervention to support students with dyslexia and related reading difficulties.
Requirements
- Valid Texas teaching certificate
- Bachelor's degree or higher in special education
- Required dyslexia training or Reading Specialist certification
Responsibilities
- Provide evidence -based dyslexia intervention services in alignment with the Texas Dyslexia Handbook, IDEA requirements, and district guidelines.
- Deliver systematic, explicit, and multi -sensory structured literacy instruction tailored to individual student needs.
- Collect, analyze, and document student progress data to evaluate growth.
- Collaborate with general education teachers, intervention teams, and families to support consistent implementation of instructional strategies.
- Participate in ARD/IEP meetings and contribute professional recommendations toward literacy goals.
- Perform other nursing -related duties as assigned.
